Lake Charles Urbanized Area Metropolitan Transportation Plan 2034
Alliance was awarded the Outstanding Planning Award for the Lake Charles Urbanized Area Metropolitan Transportation Plan 2034 by the Louisiana Chapter of the American Planning Association. The short-range portion of the transportation plan was composed by integrating the transportation measures that had already been developed by local agencies. The long-range plan determined transportation system needs through the year 2034, with the plan delineating in three stages (i.e., 2009-2014, 2015-2024, 2025-2034). The final MTP recommended for adoption by the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) consisted of projects drawn from a Needs Analysis with priorities established for which implementation costs do not exceed projected revenues expected to be available based on historical funding.
