San Antonio Mobility 2035 Project
Alliance is assisting the San Antonio-Bexar County Metropolitan Transportation Organization (MPO) in updating their Metropolitan Transportation Plan through the year 2035 to be in compliance with new SAFETEA-LU regulations and to meet identified community goals and objectives. In addition to updating and utilizing the travel demand model, Alliance is also facilitating the involvement and participation of individual citizens, neighborhood and other interested groups, business and community leaders, local governments, and state agencies in the transportation planning activities through community workshops and an Alliance developed project website. The Plan being developed includes multi-modal solutions designed meet the community’s mobility and accessibility goals while supporting the desired growth scenario adopted by the community and the MPO (a combination of Compact City and Transit Oriented development).
