Engineers, planners, modelers, interns, and administrative staff, along with their families, all gathered recently for Alliance Transportation’s Halloween in the Hill Country, a weekend of costumes, contests, and comradery. The employee and family event, held the last weekend in October, was filled with games, food, and general good times for all.

ATG, a full-service transportation planning and consulting firm based in Austin, Texas, has valued its employees and their families since its launch in 1997. Alliance founders and owners Gayle and Mike Heath demonstrate their commitment by hosting special events throughout the year for their hard-working team – and families are always invited to participate.

This year, 40 employees and 50 family members traveled to the Henly Hill Ranch, located in the beautiful Texas hill country just west of Dripping Springs, near the little town of Henly, to relax and enjoy the hospitality of Alliance Senior Transportation Engineer Alan Hudson. Hudson’s ranch offered Alliance Halloween in the Hill Country guests a dip in the swimming pool, a relaxing time in the hot tub, as well as activities such as canoeing, kayaking, hiking, and exploring the 400 acres of beauty and wildlife, including longhorns, buffalo, and African oryx.

The horseshoe contest was won by Alliance’s young professionals Cody Stone and Neil Going. Costume contest winners for adults were: Tara Alexander and husband Mark – Most Creative; Linda Green’s daughter, Kyra – Scariest; Mike Chaney’s wife, Shawn – Funniest.

The team at Alliance believes in the true meaning of their name. They work to form alliances with clients and with each other. Gayle and Mike Heath have involved family from the beginning and events like Halloween in the Hill Country are just one way the organization promotes that sense of family within the company.

This year, Gayle and Mike are planning big events to celebrate their 20th anniversary in business, and are looking forward to many more years of service . . . and fun!
